Scouting Is an international voluntary, non governmental movement for children and youth, have fun with a purpose and education for life time. Scouting is open to all regardless of race and creed, in accordance with the purpose, principles and methods conceived by its founder Robert Baden-Powell in 1907. Today, there are recognized Scout organizations and branches in more than 216 countries and territories with membership of more than 25 million boys and girls.
The Ismaili District Boy Scouts Association, Hunza (IDBSA) is registered with Pakistan Boy Scouts Association (PBSA) through Northern Areas Boy Scouts Association (NABSA) now known as Gilgit-Baltistan Boy Scouts Association (GBBSA). Since its inception in the region the Association is actively involve in promoting the mandates of world scouting. IDBSA HUNZA IS THE ONLY SCOUTING association in Pakistan that has more than 85% membership base of the children and youth between age group 5-25 of the target population.
Scouting can play a very vital role in forming the character of our youth, Promoting their physical, mental and spiritual development and making them well disciplined, useful and good citizen.
We are living in a far from perfect world .Despite the progress of civilization the law of the jungle, unfortunately, still prevails. Might is considered right and the strong do not refrain from exploiting the weak. Self advancement, greed and lust for power sway the conduct of the individuals, as that of nations.If we are to build a safer, cleaner and happier world, let us start with the individual, catch him young and inculcate in him the Scout motto of servide before self and purity in thought, word and deed.

If our young people learn to be friend of all, to help other people at all times and subordinate personal intersts to the welfare of others, eschew violence of thought, word and action. I am sanguine that the attainment of universal brotherhood will be possible and within our reach. I wish you god speed.
Message from President of Pakistan (Chief Scout)
The future of our country belongs to our youth . I therefore urge you to develop your physical and intellectual capacities and employ these capabilities in the service of people indeed of the mankind - as useful citizens. In doing so you will radiate love, harmony and brother hood, that is so badly needed for peace and stability.
My dear scouts ; Remember our motto for the year 2009 is "Peace through Scouting".
As you set out venturing on scouting and blaze a trail of peace and harmony, my patronage and love will always remain with Pakistan Boy Scouts Association.
May the World become peaceful and secure thruogh your endeavor in scouting.

Scouting is the largest volunteer Movement in the country and encourage the youth and adults to bring benefit of scouting in the country as per the Quaid-e-Azam's Vision.
Inline with Quaid-e-Azam's emphasis on scouting for the development of youth in the country. A number of initiative have been taken by PBSA to promote Scouting in the Country.
